Abstract

Purpose: Rural Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are not just the backbone of Indian innovation, but also a way to impact the strength of the economy. Social Media Marketing (SMM) seems to play a significant role in offering unique marketing opportunities for small and medium enterprises both at national and global levels. The present study aims at identifying the potential stimulators and inhibitors to the incorporation of Social Media Marketing in the overall Integrated Marketing Communication strategy of these firms.
